If you like reading comics, try drawing them! Korean manhwa (manga), Comic, tells the tale of a fledgling artist trying to beat the competition to make it as a comic creator. Alice Song is getting closer to reaching her dream of being an established manhwa artist. She's known in school for her talent and she takes home third place in Cake Magazine's contest. Lucky thing her friends submitted her work behind her back! Suddenly, she's swept up in the publishing world when she's given a chance to work with her all time idol, manhwa artist Saturn Kang! But when she gets there, she finds a deadline pushing slacker who's rude and hits on her. She works hard to help him get his project done on time, but he's unimpressed. After all, is third place good enough for one of the best? Back at school, Alice is not discouraged. Her former teacher, handsome and young Mr. Hwang, has faith in her and is delighted by her Cake Magazine success. She doesn't need the approval of anyone else and couldn't be happier until she makes an unfortunate discovery. Her obnoxious and instigating idol goes to her school! Can she face him after their embarrassing work session? Things really start to get complicated when Saturn (known at school as Patrick) breaks up with his current girlfriend for Alice! But Alice isn't sure a few good deeds are enough to convince her he's a nice enough guy. Plus, what about her feelings for Mr. Hwang? Comic is a very fun romance with a lot of possibilities. Even though it's Korean, it doesn't look or feel any different from typical Japanese manga and is an easy transition of you aren't accustomed to the style of Korean artists. It stands on its own and really draws you in!
